How does one make an introduction to a blog? Do I insert metaphoric phrase here? Standard writing education taught me that the introductory paragraph needs something to grab the reader’s attention. Your first blog is supposed to be where you “make a splash,” but I feel like I’ve already done some splashing around via social media, otherwise this site wouldn’t exist. So, I guess I will just take a moment to say, “Hello.” Welcome to my first official blog post.

I want to make this introduction short and sweet so I won’t go into detail about who I am or where I’ve come from (I’ll save that for another post). No matter what I have to offer I wanted to create a platform where I can build on my personal brand.

Building a personal brand has been important to me and always on my mind but put on the back burner. Recently, I have been granted with more time on my hands and I want to take this opportunity to build on myself as a brand – I simply want to share what I can offer from the value I have created within myself. Branding on a business-level is common, but today branding is becoming just as important on a personal level. After all, it’s people working with people and that’s what makes relationships valuable.

So you’re probably thinking, “what can you offer me that I already don’t know or can’t easily find on the Internet?”. I have worked long and hard to build value within myself by sharing my failures, struggles and success on social media. Creating this site means taking things just a step further – I want to write and share in-depth the realness but also the simplicity that is my life.

I want this site to be a true resource to you, whoever you are –  I want to bring you someone that you can relate to. We all experience struggle. We all experience pain. We all need help or perspective or insight. Everyone loves a good recipe. Many of us have common interests. We all need kindness. We all need inspiration at times. We all love to laugh. There is always something that can tie us together.
